You might be feeling a little confused with all these instructions, though. No problem! This blog tells you all you need to know to complete your mission!<br \/>\nClick on the links to get to the sections mentioned in the article<\/p>\n<h4>1-Find milkweed<\/h4>\n<p>Learn how to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mission-monarch.org\/steps\/get-ready\/milkweed-identification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">find and recognize milkweed<\/a>, the monarch\u2019s host plant. You can download <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Sheets_Monarch42019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">identification sheets<\/a> of the most common milkweed species in Canada.<br \/>\nOnce you know all you need about milkweed, find some in your area to carry out your mission.<\/p>\n<h4>2-Look for monarchs<\/h4>\n<p>Look carefully at as many plants as you want, and make sure to take note of the location where you do it. Use the <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Field_observation_form2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Field observation form<\/a> to write down all the important information.<br \/>\nLook for caterpillars especially, but take note is you see any egg, chrysalis or adult along the way. You can use the <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Sheets_Monarch42019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Monarch identification sheets<\/a> to recognize the different <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mission-monarch.org\/steps\/get-ready\/monarch-identification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">life stages<\/a> of the monarch.<\/p>\n<h4>3-Report your observations<\/h4>\n<p>After you mission, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mission-monarch.org\/submit-data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">submit your sightings online<\/a>, on the Mission Monarch website. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mission-monarch.org\/signup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Create an account<\/a>, if you haven\u2019t yet. Then, report your field observations by filling all the fields on the Submit you mission page. Do it event if you haven\u2019t found any monarchs: in science, zeros are very important!<\/p>\n<h4>What else?<\/h4>\n<p>Other tools are available. Use the the \u00ab <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Sheet_Commonly-confused2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Commonly confused<\/a> \u00bb identification sheet to identify insects that might look like monarchs, but are not.
